A Few Days In Jacksonville

7 Nov

We’ve been in Jacksonville for the last three or four days filming at numerous locations. The location we’ve been stationed at has quite the inspiring view. Check it out this cool night pic Claude took:

Jacksonville Beach

If I ever return to this beach I will rent a surf board. Watching the guys and gals go at it in the ocean looked like perfect weekday fun. I’d also bring a fishing rod because from what I saw there is a lot of nice size fish to be caught.

St. Johns River

I’m a big fan of cool air and it’s been pleasantly breezy here in Jacksonville, so it was really a treat to cruise the St. Johns River in a power boat going at a top speed of 41 miles an hour. I know that may not sound like much, but with no windshield in open water it feels more like 85.

Nature Segway Tour

Yesterday, the crew rode Segways with wheels that looked like they should be on a Hummer. Since I got a chance to ride a Segway in St. Petersburg, I volunteered to ride on the back of a pickup truck and film them as they hit the trails. Once we hit the forest, I was immediately swarmed by the most aggressive mosquitoes I’ve encountered since Mississippi. I got bit all over my arms, legs, neck, and face. Since I swell up when bitten it looked worse than it really was, but I was very happy when we wrapped the shoot.

Today we we’ve got a variety of shoots ranging from a cool a museum to a nightlife piece at The Jacksonville Landing.

Till Next Time
