My Little Sister

My Little Sister

I love this picture because my little sister never ever makes this face. She is literally the nicest person I’ve ever met.

Kanye West x Marco Brambilla

From Civilization to Power.

Created by the 88. Directed by Jenna Elizabeth.

Kanye West POWER by Marco Brambilla (Director’s Cut)

POWER shows a continuous camera move from extreme close-up of Mr. West revealing an a neoclassical video tableau showing characters and creatures surrounding him in an abstract environment – all moving in extreme slow motion.

Inspired by Michelangelo’s frescos in the Sistine Chapel, the piece depicts a faux historical moment – an empire on the brink of collapse from its own excess, decadence and corruption.

Incredible.

Jay-Z ft. Swizz Beats – On To The Next One

This video is open to a lot of interpretation but I found it to be creative and a progressive step away from your run of the mill hip hop video. To me, this video is more of a salute to much of the popular modern performance art and video installations that you’d see at some thing like Miami Art Basel.

Cost of perfection

10 Dec

Picasso was in a park when a woman approached him and asked him to draw a portrait of her.

Picasso agreed and quickly sketches her.

After handing the sketch to her, she is pleased with the likeness and asks how much she owed to him.

Picasso replies: “$5,000.”

The woman screamed, “But it took you only five minutes.”

“No, madam, it took me all my life” replied Picasso.

If it were up to me, I’d own a gigantic print of this image and hang it some where in my home. Big shout out to Laura Alejo, her work is pretty dope.
